Educating Girls, Key to Bring Social Change- Venkaiah Naidu

 

M. Venkaiah Naidu, a senior Indian politician and a well-known public leader, in his recent speech at the college convocation in Chittor emphasized on the need for educating girls in order to bring positive change in society.

“Girl education is not just a right, but a powerful tool for social development” he said. He continued his speech and stated that when women are educated they not only supports families, but brings the community forward and further adds to build a more stable and developed society.

Moreover, he clearly mentioned in his speech that education alone is not just enough to empower women, he emphasized that the society needs to bring change in their mindsets and women must be treated with equal respect as well as should get equal opportunities, without this the concept of women empowerment cannot be real.

He raised concerns and stated that even after many years of independence girls still face impartiality and issues related to basic rights like education still exist, so he urged the schools & society to create better opportunities for girls and support them. Moving forward he highlighted the key schemes of government including Beti Bachao Beti Padhao to signify the country’s steps to promote girl education in India and improve their status in society.
